Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this website, request a quote, or book a job with Salem Junk Removal("we", "us"). By doing any of those things you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

Quotes

  • Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
  • A quote is based on the photos and description you give us. If the job on site is materially different from what you described, we will tell you the revised price before we start. You can decline at no charge.
  • Once you accept a price and we begin work, that is the price you pay unless you add items during the job.
  • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless we say otherwise.

Scheduling

  • We agree on an arrival window with you by text or phone. We will let you know if we are running late.
  • Same-day service depends on availability and is not guaranteed.
  • You can cancel or reschedule at no charge if you let us know before we are on our way. If we arrive and cannot do the job for a reason on your side, we may charge a trip fee, which we will tell you about at booking.

What We Take and What We Do Not

  • We haul household and commercial junk, furniture, appliances, yard debris, and construction debris.
  • We do not take hazardous materials, including wet paint, chemicals, solvents, asbestos, propane tanks, fuel, medical waste, or anything we are not legally allowed to transport. If you are unsure, ask.
  • We decide on site whether an item is safe for us to move. We may refuse an item without refusing the whole job.

Your Responsibilities

  • Make sure everything you want removed is clearly identified. We are not responsible for items removed that you pointed out to us or placed in the pile.
  • Tell us about anything valuable, sentimental, or fragile before we start.
  • Provide safe access to the items, including keeping pets and children clear of the work area.
  • Confirm you have the right to dispose of the items. If they belong to a landlord, a tenant, or someone else, get their permission first.

Payment

  • Payment is due when the job is done unless we agreed otherwise in writing.
  • We accept the payment methods we list at booking.
  • Prices include labor, loading, hauling, and disposal fees unless we tell you about a surcharge in advance.

Donations and Disposal

We try to donate or recycle usable items before anything goes to the landfill. Whether an item is accepted by a donation partner is up to that partner. We cannot guarantee any specific item will be donated, and we do not provide donation receipts unless a partner issues one to us.

Damage and Liability

  • We are licensed and insured. We take care in your home and on your property.
  • If we damage something, tell us before we leave or within 48 hours, with photos. We will make it right.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, damage that is unavoidable when moving large items through tight spaces you have asked us to use, or damage to items you asked us to remove.
  • To the extent the law allows, our liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job.

Text Messages

By giving us your phone number and checking the consent box on our quote form, you agree to receive text messages from us about your quote and your job. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. See ourPrivacy Policy for details.

Website

  • Photos and text on this site belong to Salem Junk Removal. Do not copy them for commercial use without asking.
  • The site is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate but cannot promise it is error free.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Richmond, Virginia.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Jobs booked before a change keep the terms in effect when they were booked.
