How playset removal works

Text a photo of the set and tell us whether the posts are in concrete. We send one price. On the day, we unbolt the towers, drop the swing beam, cut the posts flush, and stack the lumber on the trailer with the hardware. We rake the mulch bed level or take it, whichever you asked for.

The lumber goes to the wood pile at the county facility. The bolts, brackets and chains go to metal recycling. Slides and plastic go to disposal.

The Glen Allen job

The playset in our gallery is a Glen Allen back yard: two towers, a slide and a swing beam that the kids had outgrown. We unbolted it, cut the posts flush, and had the lawn clear in about ninety minutes. The second playset in the gallery was in a fenced Henrico yard with one gate, so we broke it down in place until every piece fit through. Before and after photos are on the gallery page.

Trampolines and hoops

Trampolines come apart in twenty minutes and the frame goes to metal recycling. In-ground basketball hoops get cut at the base and the post hauled. Both are common add-ons to a playset job, so send them all in the same photo.

Playset Removal questions

How long does a playset take?

About ninety minutes for a typical two-tower wooden set. The playset in our gallery was a Glen Allen lawn and it was clear in that time.

What happens to the posts in concrete?

We cut them flush with the ground. Digging out the footings is rarely worth it, and grass grows over the cut in a season. If you want the footings out, say so and we price it.

Can you get it out of a fenced yard?

Yes. We break it down in place until every piece fits through the gate. The second playset in our gallery was exactly that.

Do you take the mulch too?

If you want the bed gone, yes. If you want it left and leveled, we rake it.
