What Hanover jobs look like
The Mechanicsville and Atlee end of Hanover looks like Henrico: subdivisions, garages, playsets, decks. Drive twenty minutes north or west and it changes completely. Montpelier, Beaverdam and Doswell are acreage, barns, and houses where three generations of stuff has settled into a pole shed. Those are the big jobs, and we like them.
Estate cleanouts are the most common kind of Hanover call. A family house near Hanover Courthouse, the children live out of state, and the whole thing needs to be empty by closing. We can do most of those in one long day.
Where your stuff goes
Hanover runs six free convenience centers for residents, and they are genuinely useful for a pickup load. Anything bigger, and anything from a rental or a business, goes to the Route 301 transfer station on Courtland Farm Road, which charges by the load. Our trailer goes there, and the charge is in the price we text you.
The transfer station is the last stop, not the first. Usable furniture goes to the Habitat ReStore, household goods to the Goodwill on Mechanicsville Turnpike, and scrap metal from a barn cleanout goes to a recycler, which on a big job can be a real fraction of the load.

Shed teardowns with the contents hauled in the same trip. Estates near Ashland and Hanover Courthouse that need to be empty by a closing date. Garages near Atlee with decades of hardware, which we sort so the tools go to the ReStore instead of the landfill.
Things to know before you text
- Long driveways. If the trailer cannot get to the building, tell us. We will bring a wheelbarrow and hand trucks and price the carry into the quote. No surprises on site.
- Well and septic. We do not drive the trailer over a drain field. Let us know where it is and we will stay off it.
- Ashland town limits. The Town of Ashland has its own trash rules inside the town line. Nothing changes for you. We handle disposal either way.
