How mattress removal works
Text a photo of the mattress, the floor it is on, and your zip. We send a flat price. On the day, we carry it down, load it, and go. If you have more than one, or a frame and headboard too, send the photos together and we price the lot.
Mattresses go to the county convenience center or transfer station for your address. Frames and headboards in good shape go to the Habitat ReStore.
Why the city will not just take it
Richmond’s bulk pickup runs every other week and mattresses have to be out on the right day. Henrico and Chesterfield require a trip to the convenience center. The mattress store that delivered the new one may or may not haul the old one, and often does not. So it sits in the garage. We fix that.
Bed bugs, honestly
If there is any chance the mattress has bed bugs, tell us before we come. We bring a mattress bag, seal it in the bedroom, and carry it out sealed. It goes straight to disposal. Nobody is judging, and it is a lot better for everyone than finding out on the trailer.
