How hot tub removal works

Drain the tub and turn off the breaker. Text us a photo of the tub and the path to the street. We send one price.

On the day, we cut the shell and the frame into sections with a reciprocating saw, pull the pump and heater, and carry everything through the gate to the trailer. The cover, the steps and the wooden skirting come too. We sweep the pad and you have your yard back.

Where it goes

The shell is fiberglass and acrylic, which goes to the county facility. The frame is wood. The pump, heater and wiring are metal and go to a recycler. Nothing about a hot tub is donatable, so this is one of the few jobs where the whole thing goes to disposal.

Why people call

The tub has not been used in three years and it is a mosquito farm. The new house came with one and nobody wants it. The deck is being rebuilt and the tub is in the way. Whatever the reason, it is a two-hour job for us and a very long weekend for you.

Hot Tub Removal questions

How do you get a hot tub out of a back yard?

We cut it into four to six sections with a reciprocating saw, right where it sits. Each piece carries through a standard gate. Tight yards in Midlothian and Glen Allen are normal.

What do I need to do first?

Drain it and have the power disconnected at the breaker or by an electrician. We do not work on a tub that is still wired.

How long does it take?

About two hours from the time we pull up.

Do you take the deck it is on?

If you want the platform gone too, send a photo of it and we price it in.
