What Mechanicsville jobs look like
Mechanicsville is the suburban end of Hanover, and the jobs look like it: garages, sheds, back yards and the occasional basement. The neighborhoods along Atlee Road and Cold Harbor Road were built through the eighties and nineties, so the sheds are reaching the end of their lives and the garages have twenty-five years of accumulation. Before the transfer station, the Goodwill on Mechanicsville Turnpike takes household goods, and the Habitat ReStore in Richmond takes furniture and anything a house is built out of. Metal is recycled.
