What Henrico jobs look like

Henrico is where the two-car garage that has not held a car in ten years lives. It is also where the playset in the back yard has outlasted the kids, the basement fridge finally died, and the deck boards from the rebuild are still stacked beside the fence. Those four jobs are most of what we do in the county.

Lots are bigger than in the city, driveways are real, and the trailer usually backs right up to the garage door. That makes Henrico jobs fast. A typical garage cleanout in Tuckahoe or Lakeside is two hours from the time we pull in.

Where your stuff goes

Henrico runs two public use areas, one at each end of the county. Springfield Road in Glen Allen serves the West End and Charles City Road serves the East End. Both are free for residents hauling from their own home, and both charge by weight at the commercial scales for everything else. We are everything else, so we pay, and that cost is already in the number we text you.

Before anything goes to Springfield Road, though, we stop at Goodwill on West Broad for household goods and at the Habitat ReStore for furniture and fixtures. The wood and metal from a playset go into the recycling piles at the public use area, not the landfill cell.

Henrico jobs, with photos

The two playsets in our gallery are both Henrico. One was a two-tower set on an open lawn in Glen Allen, gone in about ninety minutes. The other was in a fenced back yard with a single gate, so we broke it down in place until every piece fit through. Photos of both are below.

Garages, basement freezers and apartment turnovers book the same way. Send the photo, get the price, pick the day.

Things to know before you text

  • Appliances with Freon. Fridges, freezers and window units have to be handled as Freon appliances at the public use area. We take them, and the handling is in your price.
  • Deck and fence debris. Treated lumber goes to a different pile than clean wood. We sort it so it goes to the right place.
  • Rental properties. Henrico landlords find out at the scales that rental loads are not free. Skip that trip. Send us the unit photos and we will price the whole turnover.

Before and after in Henrico

Real jobs, real photos.

  • A wooden playset with a tower and slide on an open lawn in Glen Allen

The same Glen Allen lawn with the playset gone
    After

    Playset teardown, Glen Allen

A two-tower wooden set the kids had outgrown. We unbolted it, cut the posts flush, and had the lawn clear in about ninety minutes. The lumber went to the metal-and-wood pile at the Springfield Road public use area.

    After

    Playset removal, fenced back yard

Tight fence line, one gate. We broke the set down in place so every piece fit through the gate, then raked the mulch bed level.

Henrico questions

Do you serve both ends of Henrico?

Yes. The West End from Westhampton out to Short Pump, and the East End through Sandston, Highland Springs and Varina. The East End is a little further from our usual route, so bigger jobs there are easiest to book a day ahead.

Can I just take it to the Henrico dump myself?

If it is from your own house and fits in a pickup, yes, and it is free with proof of residency. The catch is that landlords, flippers and businesses have to pay at the scales, and a lot of people do not find that out until they are in line. We deal with all of that for you.

Do you take swing sets and trampolines?

Yes. Playsets are one of the most common Henrico calls. We unbolt them, cut the posts flush, and take the whole thing, mulch bed included if you want it gone.

My HOA is strict about what sits at the curb.

Then do not put it at the curb. We load straight from the garage or the back yard, so nothing is ever visible from the street.
