What Short Pump jobs look like
Short Pump is the newest part of the West End, and the jobs are about turnover more than accumulation. A townhome in West Broad Village gets new furniture and the old set has to go. A house in Wellesley finishes the basement and the contractor left the old carpet and drywall scraps. A family in Bacova moves in and the boxes are still stacked in the garage a month later. Those are Short Pump jobs.
We also get a lot of single-item calls here: one sectional, one mattress, one treadmill, and it needs to be gone before the delivery truck arrives with the replacement.
Where your stuff goes
Henrico’s Springfield Road Public Use Area is a ten-minute drive up Nuckols Road, and the Goodwill donation center is on West Broad, which means a Short Pump job is usually loaded, donated and dumped inside two hours. County residents can use Springfield Road free for their own household loads. We pay by weight, and that is in the price we text.
Furniture in good shape goes to the Habitat ReStore. Working appliances and household goods go to Goodwill. Cardboard is recycled. A lot of what we pick up in Short Pump is too good to throw away, and we do not.

A sectional and a king bed out of a third-floor unit in West Broad Village. A basement refinish haul-off in Wellesley. A garage full of moving boxes and packing paper in Bacova. One photo, one price, gone before the delivery truck shows up.
Things to know before you text
- Delivery timing. If a new piece is arriving, tell us the delivery window and we will be out before it.
- Stairs and elevators. Say which. It changes how many people we bring, not whether we come.
- Boxes. Break them down if you have time. If not, we will.
