How furniture removal works

Text a photo of the piece, or the room, with your zip and the floor it is on. We send back one price. On the day, two of us carry it out, load it, and go. If it is going to a good home, we drop it at the Habitat ReStore. If it is not, it goes to the county facility for your address.

Doors come off hinges if they need to. Sectionals get unbolted. Beds get broken down. We bring the tools and the straps.

Furniture in Richmond houses

Rowhouses in the Fan and Church Hill have turns in the stairs that a sofa does not want to make. Townhomes in Short Pump have three floors. Ranchers in Mechanicsville have the furniture in the basement, which is the easy part, and the stairs, which are not. We handle all of it and the price already accounts for the carry.

Donation first

A lot of furniture that gets replaced is still perfectly good. A solid dresser, a dining set, a sofa that just does not match the new paint. Those go to the Habitat ReStore on Roane Street or Mall Drive, where someone will buy them and the money builds houses. We think that beats the landfill, and it is why we sort every load.

Furniture Removal questions

Can you get a sectional out of an apartment?

Yes. We take doors off hinges, unbolt sectional pieces, and carry down stairs. Tell us the floor and whether there is an elevator when you text the photo.

Will you donate my furniture?

If it is clean and solid, yes. Furniture goes to the Habitat ReStore, which takes sofas, tables, dressers and more. Stained, broken or pet-damaged pieces go to the county facility.

Do you take one item?

Yes. A single couch or mattress is a normal job. Text the photo and we send a single-item price.

Can you come before my new furniture is delivered?

Yes. Tell us the delivery window and we schedule the pickup ahead of it.
