How carpet removal works
Tell us the rooms and send a photo of one. We send a price per room for rip-out and haul, or a flat price if it is already rolled.
On the day, we cut the carpet into strips that carry, pull the padding, pull the tack strips and pull the staples. We sweep the subfloor. Everything goes on the trailer and to the county facility. Your flooring installer walks into a clean room.
When people call for this
Before new flooring goes in and the installer charges extra for removal. After a basement floods. During a rental turnover when the carpet is past saving. In an estate cleanout when the whole house is being redone.
Old flooring
Some older houses in Richmond have vinyl or tile under the carpet that may contain asbestos. If we see that, we stop and tell you. It needs a licensed abatement contractor, not a hauler. Hardwood and modern tile we can quote separately, by weight.
