What Glen Allen jobs look like
Glen Allen is the far West End, and it has two personalities. Old Glen Allen along Mountain Road is older houses on bigger lots with detached garages and sheds. Everything north and west of there, Wyndham, Twin Hickory, Wyndham Forest, was built in the nineties and two-thousands, so the jobs are playsets, deck furniture, basement finishes that are getting redone, and the bedroom sets that come out when the kids leave.
Innsbrook adds office work. Desk and cubicle cleanouts for offices that are downsizing or moving, usually after hours.
Where your stuff goes
Henrico’s Springfield Road Public Use Area is off Springfield Road in Glen Allen itself. That is our disposal stop for the whole West End, and it is why Glen Allen jobs turn around so quickly. It is free for county residents bringing a load from their own home. Everything we bring pays by weight at the scales, and that is in your price.
Usable furniture and household goods go to Goodwill on West Broad and the Habitat ReStore first. The lumber from a playset goes to the wood pile at Springfield Road, not the landfill cell, and the hardware goes with the scrap metal.
A Glen Allen job, with photos
The playset teardown in our gallery is a Glen Allen lawn. Two towers, a slide and a swing beam that the kids had outgrown. We unbolted it, cut the posts flush with the ground, and had the lawn clear in about ninety minutes. Photos are below.
Basement refinish haul-offs in Twin Hickory, garages in Wyndham and after-hours office cleanouts in Innsbrook book the same way.
Things to know before you text
- Playsets. Tell us if the posts are set in concrete. It changes the tool we bring, not the price much.
- Office parks. Innsbrook buildings usually want a certificate of insurance on file. We have one. Ask and we send it the same day.
- Same-day. Text early on weekdays. This is the area where it is most likely.
