What Chesterfield jobs look like

Chesterfield gives us two very different kinds of work. The north end, along Midlothian Turnpike and Hull Street, is planned neighborhoods with architectural rules, two-car garages and back decks. Those jobs are garage cleanouts, furniture swaps, deck teardowns and the occasional hot tub. The south end, around Chester and Chesterfield Court House, has bigger lots, older houses and sheds, so it is more estate cleanouts and outbuilding teardowns.

Bon Air, right at the county line, is split-levels with a basement that opens under the deck. Every one of them has a fridge down there.

Where your stuff goes

Chesterfield runs two convenience centers, north on Warbro Road in Midlothian and south on Landfill Drive in Chester. We use whichever is closer to you. Both are open seven days a week, which is part of why we can offer same-day pickups in Chesterfield even on a Saturday afternoon.

Before anything goes to the county, the good stuff gets a second life. Furniture and building materials go to the Habitat ReStore on Mall Drive, which is right off Midlothian Turnpike and takes everything from a dresser to a box of tile. Household goods go to Goodwill. Metal gets recycled.

A Chesterfield job, with photos

The dumpster corral in our gallery is a Midlothian property. A tenant turnover had overflowed the corral, the hauler would not empty it that way, and the property manager needed it cleared before the next pickup. We bagged, loaded and swept it in one visit. Photos are below.

Garages in Woodlake, deck teardowns in Brandermill, hot tubs in Salisbury and basement fridges in Bon Air are the same process: photo, price, done.

Things to know before you text

  • HOA rules. Brandermill, Woodlake, Hallsley and most of the newer neighborhoods do not allow piles at the curb or unapproved dumpsters. That is exactly the problem we solve. Nothing is staged outside.
  • Appliance fees. The county charges per appliance at the convenience center. Our appliance price includes it.
  • Heavy loads. Concrete pavers, landscape stone and tile are priced by weight, not volume. Send a photo and we will say so before we quote.

Chesterfield questions

Will you work inside an HOA neighborhood like Brandermill or Woodlake?

Yes, and we do it without leaving anything visible. We load directly from your garage, side yard or back yard and never stage a pile at the curb. If your HOA has a rule about work vehicles, tell us and we will keep the trailer in your driveway.

How much does the county charge to drop off a fridge?

$15 for anything with Freon, $10 for a stove, washer or water heater, at either convenience center. We take appliances for a flat price that already includes that fee and the carry out of your basement.

Do you cover the south end of the county?

Yes. Chester, Enon, Matoaca and Ettrick all book the same way. Larger jobs down there are easiest to schedule a day ahead so we can bring the right trailer.

Can you do a whole house in one day?

Usually. A three-bedroom estate cleanout in Bon Air or Midlothian is a one-day job for us with two trailer loads. Text us the listing photos and we will tell you exactly.
